We use factory design utilities to design solid waste segregation plants. Our layouts contain belt conveyors and various process equipment.
We use custom assets connected to each other with connectors. Each asset has many available connectors and during connection we use one of them to establish the required geometry of connection. Many times during the design process we need to change the connection of 2 machines meaning use different connectors to achieve a different connection geometry.
In big layouts there are hundrends of connections. We have the following problem:
Using the "ctrl-F7 and drag" way some times doesn't work, i.e. choosing an asset, holding the F7 key and dragging the asset results in moving all connected assets. This happens in specific positions of big layouts.
In those cases I right click connections and cycle through them until I find the one to break. This is inefficient because I use it in big layouts with hundreds of connections.
I propose:
- To have the possibility to right click an asset and cycle solely through its connections.
- When managing the connectors, the assets to become transparent in order to look a connection even when it is hidden by some geometry.
