Hi all,
I am trying to see if the factory layout will help better and faster system layout than the Inventor assembly layout.
To build the system layout we take Inventor assembly and make view rep of sub-assembly and shrink-wrap them to single (.ipt) and temporarily suppress the link then built new Inventor assembly (.iam) and built the new project layout.
I know you can create assets from the Inventor file (.ipt) or (.iam) then save the Factory asset to your own library then use that for layout.
I try to do this by picking the large Inventor assembly that has the view rep I want then create an asset but it coming as an assembly (.iam) is there a way to make that single part (.ipt) with multi bodies like the shrink-wrap? I am trying to skip one step not to make shrink-wrap from Inventor assembly. (see the picture)
Another question
How to update assets to match the Inventor file after you create assets and add them to Factory Library?
I can't figure out how to update existing assets other than redoing the published asset again.
I am starting to use this Factory feature so I have so many questions and hope you understand and walk me thru.
Thanks
