Several questions...

Hello there,

as i am working with very large arrays (1000+ pieces) i wanted to ask if there are hints on improving performance when handling theese files. It´s all assets placed onto each other - arrayed. Especially when i need to change something the performance is very poor. Is it possible to disable connector points in order to save performance.

I don´t think so but every bit of speed is very welcome

Hi,

Can you help post a snapshot of your layout or share your a piece asset? That will be helping us find the  bottleneck of performance.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for sharing. Generally, what will you change in the layout design?

Hello there,

eventually the width of a single element might change.

So the array "Spaltenabstand" (offset) would change too.

he rest is mirroring once and arraying the two lanes produced in this fashion.

Thank you

Hi,

I see. The performance issue is related to the too many instances which are placed in your layout design. So I recommend you optimize your design way.

1,Complete the one array of pieces in sub-layout

2,Use Shrinkwrap substitute command to create LOD(you need to turn Floor and Grib seetings off before shrinkwrap )

3,Place the shrinkwrap sub-layout to main layout

4,Do array and mirrior

Thanks,

-Xuesong
