Issue when trying to publish an assets based on .step file

Hi, 

I try to publish an asset made from a simplified .ipt file. 
The parent file is an .iam with a .step model as reference. 

I get this error code when trying to publish this asset. 

Have anyone experienced this and know what the issue is?

When i break the link to the .iam containing the .step reference it works. Only supressing the link does not work. 

But this is not the best way to work since breaking the link also breaks the update possibilites.

Hello Kim,

if you create an asset from a step file it is always necessary to brake the link.

Otherwise you will get in trouble if you try to place your new asset in a factory drawing.

It will always search for the step file that you had used to create.

You will get error messages that the step file won't be found if you open the FDS drawing again.
