Autodesk Process Analysis: Buffer Minimum Residence TIme

Hi

I am just familiarising myself with PA and trying to determine the capacity on a manufacturing line. The operator loads parts into a large oven conveyor which had 50 spaces. It's a simple roller conveyor so first in, first out and can hold 50 parts with each part on it's own carrier on the conveyor. The parts need to spend a minimum of e.g. 100 mins in the oven conveyor before they can proceed to the next operation whereby a robot picks the part and moves to a casting process. I am currently using a buffer for the oven conveyor but the parts just get taken out immediately to the casting process. Any suggestions as to how I can create a buffer with a minimum residence time for each part ?

Thanks!

Hi There,

No, our buffer cannot set a time of waiting. But our Conveyor can be set to have a transportation time and capacity. See attached screenshot. And you can draw only the upper line if you don't care of seeing a report of how many items does this conveyor contain at a specific time frame.
