Assets refuse to adapt to parameter changes

Hello there,

assets we´re using since FDS 2015 refuse to adapt to

new settings in some cases we can´t reproduce. It get´s

even better. Saving is possible and opening the factory

layout again results in correctly displayed assets.

The assets have been migrated according to the regle-

mentations, as of no direct ipt saving with the new In-

ventor version.

Any help is greatly appreciated, as there always is a crash

to follow.

We assumed it might be an access violation or a memory

leak

Kind regards

Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Sorry your assets are misbehaving.

Can you record a video showing this behavior?
Do you send in the crash reports? Can you give me a few crash report IDs?

Thank you,

Oleg

Hello Oleg,

I´ll try to provide a video this week. For now I can provide

screenshots as are. The graphics as well as the XML are not

updated. Given the factory assembly is saved and reopened

on a different Computer, the values and graphics are.

Have a nice week, and I´ll update this post in it´s cause.

Kind regards

Daniel

Oleg,

I am sorry- we forgot to keep Inventor up- to- date

while the factory utillities perfectly are. I´ll keep you

posted should the problem persist.

Kind regards

Daniel

Hello Oleg,

we´re up to date and it keeps happening. Actually

they work fine on one machine and refuse to on

another. It wise I´d assume some changes to basic

components within the script might halt them, but

I can´t do more than speculate.

Imagine any asset refusing to change it´s geometry,

that´s what happens. A random restart and shutting

down Inventor restores the function.

Kind regards

Daniel
