With the release of Revit 2016, you can now export a .maj file out of Fabrication and import it into Revit. However, Revit linits you to only one .maj per Revit model. This is great if your building is only one floor (with no underground or roof), but since the majority of what we draw is multi-floor or includes an underground/roof and we break out each floor to a sperate fabrication model. To import all of these fabrication models into one Revit model for submission, it requires creating multiple Revit and a lot of slow copy/pasting. Then if a change happens, I have to do it all over again. My Idea is: 1. Revit should alow multiple .MAJ's to be inserted into a single Revit model. 2. You should be able to assign each .maj to a specific level as well, to avoid having to block and elevate after insertion. 3. (Long Shot) The .maj files could be linked in to the Revit model (similar to .ifc's) so any updates would only require exporting the .maj file with the same name and it could just be refeshed in Revit. When ready for submission, the .maj file could be bound in to the Revit model and sent.
