Trouble creating dashed lines for fabrication parts

I am having trouble trying to have pipe show up as dashed lines when it is under other pipe.

I have tried going to cad settings and selecting "display hidden detail as Dashed Linetype"

I have played around with the LTScale

I have hidden lines as a global detail and I have never turned them off

I have include a picture of what I would like to accomplish titled manual hidden.

I have included a picture of what typically displays titled auto hidden.
