Spooling Issues

I searched and found the other other thread but it did not solve my issue or help me much.

My company is making the switch from Trimble PipeDesigner and while most things are pretty similiar, setting up for this program is quite confusing.

My first problem is that I cannot get a BOM to show up on our template when I spool.  If I follow the demo, it works. What am I missing here? I did it once and it worked on our .dwt and then the next time the bom would only show up in the model space while I was in paperspace. Now, the BOM will not show up at all. I'm totally confused.

When I go to create, it takes me to the new drawing but shows the spool piece in model space and it does not put it in the selected view angle, not that it matters anyways since I can't get it to spool properly.

Also, is there a way to switch the units from inches to feet and inches in the BOM?

Lastly, I see that there are two ways to spool? Which way is better?

I am running the 2016 versions.

TIA

Spooling is a complicated process and would be very difficult to solve all of your problems in text on a forum. Have you recieved training? Do you have access to support help? Also, I highly suggest xtracad.com if you are not already aware of it. Many many solutions can be found on that forum.

Thank you for the reply.

I did get it sort of figured out. Still need to work out some bugs but it's good enough to produce some spool sheets. I followed the video and read the other thread but simply creating a new title block was the key. I also didn't know that you had to leave your viewport active in your dwt as the video never went over all that.

I just signed up for XtraCAD and I do not have any training for this program and I have been tasked to set this up. There's no training lined up as far as I know as well. THe onyl training I have us the limited Youtube videos. Pray for me.

Ok well glad you were able to connect the dots. I highly recommend training or you will continue to struggle, also I highly recommend a support contract so you can get someone on the phone when you run into these types of issues. Productivity goes through the floor when you have to stop and research these things out on your own.
