Shared Main Database not reflecting Take-off Annotation changes

We are using to different machines to work on the same files with both machines accessing the same database. Normally when I make changes in the database my colleague sees the changes almost instantaneously. We are both still using the "Global" profile.

Recently when working with annotation we have run into some issues. I have opened a file, added tags based on the settings in cad settings > annotation, and saved. When my colleague opens the same file the tags look completely different and his settings in the database are different.

Every other setting I change gets updated on both machines and the database changes to reflect that. For some reason though the annotation settings are not updating. We are somewhat new to the software and any information will help. Thanks,

Hi @ZTR88,

Could you be so kind and take a screenshot of two tag states that you describe? It would be good if you indicated what kind of final result you are interested in. Thank you!

We have moved our database to a shared server in between two machines. We pathed everything to that new location on the server rather than the default local location and all of our services and items and everything work fine. Both machines refer to that shared database on the server.

Some things in the main database though did not get pathed and are still independent. Such as annotation settings in the Takeoff tab. Not sure where these are actually located in the database. But we wish to have both machines reference the same annotation settings in the database so that if I make a change on my machine to the annotation settings, the other machine will show the same changes.

@ZTR88 I am sorry for the delay in answering. I have been waiting for confirmation from the developers. Annotation which are part of takeoff preferences, which are stored per user/application, eg. in files in this folder:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Fabrication 2019\APP (eg. CAMduct/ESTmep).

There is currently no way to alter this behavior other than using an external tool to sync those files (you must note that they will not be reloaded unless you restart the application).

Quick Question, If we were to move the CADTAKEOFF file to a shared site or server where it could sync, how would we go about pathing fabrication to look in that location?
