Revit ifc parameter.

I am converting CADmep object to Revit. Though the geometry comes in, not all data comes with it, and limited at that. Can basic IFC parameters be used like ifcName or ifcDescription to bring some data into Revit? Can native CADMEP properties like Notes translate over as well?

Hello All,

I wanted to update the original post to focus on the use of IFC property sets and CADmep fabrication data. I think I'm close but I just don't understand enough about the different flavors of IFC property sets and their use with CADmep fabrication parts there are nuances that I don't fully understand. My goal is to get the data AND 3d into Revit for change management and Facilities Management, hence the importance of the data.
