Post Processor for Swift-Cut Mach4 Controller

Does anyone have a post-processor working for the newer Swift-Cut Plasma machines using the Mach4 Controller?

I can't get the existing Swift-Cut post to work, it is for the older Mach3 Controller with a different output.

I have also tried the D6.

I can create a customNC but I'm being lazy ๐Ÿ™‚

Any tips will be appreciated.

Hi Matthew,

I don't suppose you ever found / Created this post processor? It would be a godsend if you were able to point me in the right direction.

Kind Regards

Iain

Hi Iain

I ended up creating a CustomNC that works for the customer machine and database setup.

I work for an Autodesk Partner and we charge for doing this work. Please contact me matthew.w at cadpro.co.nz if you would like to take this further.

Thanks Matthew, I too am being lazy (and I'm a skinflint ๐Ÿ˜). Looks like I will have to write my own as well when I find the time. I wonder if Swiftcut would be interested in your services. I know they have had an enquiry or two about this and it would be a good thing for their business if that awful libulla software that they use could be bypassed.

Hi Iain

It wasn't too bad to make a customNC. It took me a while to understand how the customNC works. Swiftcut should approach ASTI or Autodesk directly as described in the help: Supported Post Processors List

Thanks for the link Matthew. I will have a look at it and also mention it to Swiftcut again.

I work for ASTI in the Fabrication Dept. We have extra access to some of the post processor options and would be happy to get with you. If you are interested, let us know.

I would be greatly interested in a Swift-Cut post processor, Libellula WIZARD is hot garbage.

I emailed Swiftcut a couple of weeks ago (again) to ask them if they could get this done. I pointed out that it shouldn't be too difficult and sent links to the required resources. Maybe if someone else were to also drop them a line it might help them to make the decision.

I've recently had correspondence with Libellula after they reached out about how terrible Libellula.WIZARD is and how most of Swift-Cuts customers dislike it. After a demo they quoted me a price on migrating to Libellula.CUT. Quite frankly I am leery to do this as WIZARD is so bad that it gives me a bad feeling about their products in general. Anyway, my point is, in the quotation it lists "Post Processor Plasma- n.1 Post Processor Plasma for Swift-Cut XP3000" as a line item for something in the neighborhood of 2200โ‚ฌ.  But I'm sure it only works with their software.
