New Design Line- Flat oval duct

I am trying to draw a new design line overtop of an imported PDF. The first duct run is a 52"/26" oval duct. When I use the "new design line" feature in the CADmep tool bar the oval duct does not show up. I do not have this issue with the round or square duct. I have already tried to use Fill in 3D & Erase 3D commands. Please help thanks.

Design Line doesn't seem to be designed w/Oval in mind. After your design line is drawn, go and edit the design lines. In that dialog, you can add an Oval constraint.

The other thing is that Oval sizes aren't true sizes, you may need to either input the true stretch out sizes or make sure that the Effective Diameters are setup properly if you want to use nominal sizing.

Can't say as I'm real familiar w/Oval myself but know enough that I don't want to draw it w/Design Line.

Scott Hendricks just posted this....

For Design Line, you could use the NumPad and setup all the Oval sizes you use/have available to enter in the sizes. That looks like the direction we're going with to speed up Oval entry. It'll eliminate having to look up on a chart when doing the entry.

Our NumPad will list the nominal Oval sizes we have available, ITM's will be product listed w/nominal oval sizes. Then use Effective diameters to actually adjust the true stretch out when drawn/developed.
