How do I force LENGTH to show in feet and inches instead of decimal?

When you double-click an item, under the DIMENSIONS tab, it shows LENGTH as decimal inches.

In the past I've been able to set it to fractional feet/inches but I can't remember how.

Any input?

Run the EDITDBASE command -> Click the Fittings Button -> Go to Pattern Switches on left column -> Inside the Takeoff Tab you will find "Enter Imperial Dims in (ft)"

Make sure that option is checked and it should be Feet & Inches like you desire.

Feel free any time Brian,

I will tell you that the Imperial system is antiquated garbage that we need to all stop using someday. Familiar or not we badly need to break the cycle and all just start working in decimals. At least that's what I advocate for on the modeling aspect. I would like to produce drawings that way too, but the field guys would quite literally wait for me in the parking lot Smiley Very Happy
