Fabrication pipe elements length parameter locked/greyed out

we have started using fabrication parts and services from FABCAD in revit, and in some systems like HDPE the pipe length from geberit is locked and cannot be altered, i have searched all through the configuration file settings and i cannot seem to find out why this is locked.

other pipe types such as copper and steel all load in and are fully adjustable, but all the pipe types for above ground drainage HL cannot be changed.

i have made a new configuration for our company based on the latest metric configuration that comes with the software.

can anyone shed any light on how this can be unlocked?

I would check to make sure the pipes length is not product listed.  If the product list is driving the length then you can alder it.  I would also check to make sure the lock is set to off for the length field.

it ended up being because the catalogue option was checked, after i unchecked it and restarted the app, it became editable in both fabcad and revit.

strange that this was for an OOTB geberit family.
