Fabrication parts in Revit

Hi Fabrication users!

Just quick questions.

1, Am I supposed to see any name but not "default" in the property?
Since parts do not have types like family in Revit, I thought I could leave it as default. Am I correct?

2, Do you usually set OEM and Product short description?

If I leave it as blank, the item name will be file name instead.

I am a beginner, so I appreciate it if you teach me the primary database set up!

The answer to your question is based on company standards or user by user. If you're looking to schedule out this information I think it's a good idea to populate the item description.
