Fabrication Job Contains No Parts - Possible Solution

While there's many reasons for the "Fabrication Job Contains No Parts" error while trying to import an MAJ into Revit, it's NEVER because there are no parts.

While it doesn't cover ALL the reasons for this message, one of the most common can be worked around with this process...

Agreed. Appears that way.

But my record speaks for itself in the Autodesk Fabrication community. Already spent hundreds of hours over several years fighting w/Autodesk support and product managers to get them to actually support their product which they just won't do. Tens of thousands of dollars in lost productivity across hundreds of customers.

So time to cut my losses and help as many as I can by sharing in many places (at least a 1/2 dozen) seeing as Autodesk won.t. Just simply don't have time to post the article in it's entirety multiple times. Free code (fully editable), no registration or cost for anyone. That'll have to be good enough.

Hi Darren

Your support for the community is amazing, it is appreciated.

They were so close to getting it right before running off in another direction. I understand the move from CADmep to Revit but why not keep fixing/improving ESTmep and CAMduct? I'm not asking for new features and I don't think most users would prioritise new features. I appreciate that the code base is old but that doesn't mean it can't be worked on. In my opinion, they dropped the price so much that they gave away the revenue they could have used to work on it. Rant over for now!

Keep up the good work.
