Fabrication CADmep failing to install properly

Anonymous
Not applicable

I needed to download the CADmep object enabler to see some ductwork on a file I was given. I downloaded the 2016 version, however when I try to use it, the file is not in the folder where I installed it. There are a bunch of nonessential folders, e.g. setup, CER, Eula etc, but no actual .arx file that I can run. I tried to reinstall but when I get to the installation screen the install button is disabled. I installed the 2013 version and had the same problem where the application file is not there.

I am a new autocad user and may just be missing something obvious, but I couldn't find this question previously answered on the forums here. Thanks

If you are having issue with object enablers then remember the file type will be .DBX not ARX.  Also be aware that you will not install using the .ARX/DBX.  Once downloaded Autodesk will extract into your root C > Autodesk.  Go to that folder and should notice a Setup.exe.  Run that.
