Display not refreshing correctly

I am having trouble with my screen not refreshing after I nwc a few times and also after making section views using the fabrication section tool.  I am using autocad 2016 with the fabrication cadmep add on and for the computer it is a Dell Percision M6800, I7 2.80ghz, 32igb ram, windows 10 64 bit naidia quadro k4100m.  This is happening in model space I draw with 2 viewport one set to plan view and use the other one for section viewing and isometic.  I have to save the drawing then close it and reopen it to fix it for a little while then it happens again.  This is really frustrating.  I know other have had this problem so someone has to of figured it out already.

Hi,

you may need to disable hardware acceleration from 3DCONFIG command.

Hi,

... or let the hardware acceleration on, but disable "High quality geometry ...".

in 3dconfig high quality geometry is off the rest are on.  Turning off the hardware acceleration is not going to happen tried that and did not like it.  We have multiple machines and all the settings are the same but mine and at least one other do this.

Hi @Anonymous,

I believe you can leave hardware acceleration on when you see this issue. Try instead, turning off Smooth Lines in the GRAPHICSCONFIG window.

Please also check to see if your graphics card driver is up to date. This is the most current one I found.

Excuse me, as we are currently in "diagnostic mode" it's not a question of liking it, it's a question of "does the display look correct then" ... does it?

It will show us if the issue is the drawing or your hardware/driver.

Hi @Anonymous,

Perhaps those are points (nodes) that are getting displayed. Try setting PDMODE=0 to see if that helps. Did you check the graphics driver?

that is a newer driver I will try that.  I also just set the pmode to off and switched to a blank drawing then back and my screen did clear up.  I will have to use it for a little while to see if it does it again.

so put the new drive on and rebooted, pdmode 0, layerpmode off and still doing it.  Any cant draw with the hardware acceleration off because if I remember right when you make a section using the fabricarion section tool in model space you don't see everything.  I don't get it I wonder if it has something to do with xref in fabrication plumbing and pipe in to the ductwork drawing and it trying to refresh all that information.
