Development of Post Processors

The company I work for makes plasma cutting tables and we need to make a post processor for them. Are there any resources available to let us make or edit a current post processor for CAMDuct?

To clarify the problem a little better here is what we are looking for:

1. Software or documentation on how to write a vpl file.

2. How to access the geometrical data in a nested sheet of parts and be able to export it to a file.

You don't need to create a VPL when using Fabrication CAMduct 2016 or later. The 2016 version introduced a custom machine configuration feature which may be configured to work with any machine.

Per the What's New section of the Help System:

The following new features are specific to Fabrication CAMduct 2016
Custom (User Defined) Machine Configurations: You can create custom (user-defined) machine code (NC) for defining installed machine fabrication (motion path and cutting) behavior. See Installing a Custom NC Machine.

You will find a recorded session on this topic from Autodesk University 2015. 

As for exporting the nested shapes or sheets, why? You use Fabrication CAMduct to write NC and send to the machines.

At the  autodesk university there is no explanation about tne custom nc.

Maybe give a small sample of how to do it.

My apologies. The original presenter became ill and could not attend AU, so William Tucker offered to teach the class with little notice. I didn't realize he didn't cover that topic. Other than the latest Help files for Fabrication CAMduct, there is no other information published that I am aware of.

I'm not sure where you are geographical, so I will offer two consultants who can help you. Both are very good.
