Convert3dmodel Crash 2016

After install of Service Pack 1 using the command convert3dmodel will crash Autocad.

The problem seems to be with the CadMEP Object Enabler File *.dbx

Temp fix if you need to use the command would be backup or re-name the installed dbx file and than over write with original 2016 dbx file.

what dbx file did you replace?

I replaced CADmep20_1x64.dbx with the original file located here:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Fabrication 2016\CADmep

The program still crashes.

I think the issue is a little bigger.  The service pack is also causing my 2016 Navis Manage to crash when trying to open drawings.

Replaced the .dbx file here as well and still crashes. Really need this fixed!

I used the 2015 .dbx file for navis 2016 andit is working fine.  I am also getting the crash when using the convert3dmodel command in fabmep 2016 as well though.

Agreed, I switched Navis 2016  DWG loader version setting to 2015 and it works fine.  Still crashing in cad when using Convert3dmodel.

The Original 2016 installed DBX, will not work for everyone. I was told by the developer that he has programmers in his office also crashing. I was also told it is a bug in the ACAD.exe causing it and it affects other softwares as well. So FabMep is not the only one affected.

If the fix will not work for you Install FabMep 2015 and Appload the arx in Autocad 2016 to make your Models.

I have been setting Navis back 1 Version since before it was called Navis (Jetstream)

Still a Bug! SP2 does not fix issue.

This issue has been resolved with the latest SP for AutoCAD 2016 or 2016 Vertical. Please check Application Manager for updates to your core application.

It is definitely not advisable, and is extremely dangerous, to mix CADmep ARX and DBX modules from different versions.

Hi

Has anyone resolved this issue yet? I'm just experiencing it now.  Can't find a Service Pack 3 for CADmep 2016, AutoCAD 2016 or AutoCAD MEP 2016 (which is what I use under CADmep).

Really need this resolved as I have a load of parts I need to covert

This is resolved with the SP1 for AutoCAD (not CADmep).

Check in you Application Manager app, the update will be listed there, or try here

Look at the AutoCAD version, Looks like you need to install the SP1 for AutoCAD as well, yours is M49, not M107

I didn't realise installing the MEP SP's didn't update the base AutoCAD platform as well.
