Camduct layers and DXF export via script

Hello,

I have made a script to export DXF with the command item.writeDXF because I need the DXF's for importing automatically into Trutops software for a Trumpf laser.

I have noticed that the desired layout is not exported via script.  Via "Database - Manufacturing - Tool Defaults - Layer Mapping - Export" the settings are done, and if I export DXF within Camduct (via right-mouse-button and "export DXF" then all is fine with the DXF files.

But if I do the same with command item.writeDXF, then Camduct does not take into account the export settings from the "Database - Manufacturing - Tool Defaults - Layer Mapping - Export"

Anybody have the same issue in the past and found a workaround ?

Hello, after searching all the forum of Autodesk, I found that installing Camduct 2025 is the solution. I was working in version 2022.

In version 2025 the item.writeDXF has been corrected to take the settings from "Database - Manufacturing - Tool Defaults - Layer Mapping - Export" into account.
