How do I get the BOM to show up as a certain size across multiple drawings. Currently I have to scale it every time I spool something new. It is a simple step that could save me a half a minute a drawing and make my drawings look nicer.

Hi @Anonymous

I can see no one has got back to you so I will have a go at helping you although this isn't my primary software.

I found some instructions that should allow you to customise your BOM:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-plant-3d/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/Plant3D-UserGuide/files/iso-style-tb-bom-configure-to-htm.html

Hopefully this will be of some use to you.

Regards,

Thanks but I am not using Plant3d (a program that I understand). I am using fabrication cadmep on regular AutoCAD. It does not have a project menu.

do you have your "report position" and "report width" blocks in the template you are spooling into?

I had report position, but was unaware of report width. So now I have a consistent BOM width do you know how to increase the height of the text. I played around with the text height scale increasing it from 75 to 2000 but nothing changed. Any suggestions?

Change the height by going into edit report, select your report, and change the text height/scale there.

Type in TableStyle, in that dialog you can see which style is in use and which text style within that table style is being referenced. I personally make mine reference a really small (1/16) text style and then use a lisp routine to set it to the actually desired size; seems to do a better job of dividing the columns that way.
