Three students cannot change their accounts because they used the wrong email when signing up. They have deleted the accounts, but the deletion isn't working, and they are frozen out of Fusion now.

They are stuck in loop with AI trying to help

Hi @MrP_Link,

Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Have the students tried creating a new account with the correct email address? Deleting a user account means that the email address used cannot be used for 45 days unless the account is recovered within 5 days of the deletion being requested.

Why isn't there an option for students' education accounts to access and make changes when errors like this happen? Emails keep saying they can use them to create new accounts

Hi @MrP_Link,

I apologise for the delayed reply but which emails are you referring to? Student email addresses can be used to create an Autodesk account, provided the email address is entered correctly and can receive external communications.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Still, there is no joy in getting those students back on one. We need to wait until next week after 45days (not suitable for education), and other students have problems with getting a response for the verification and all contact is AI responses only

All I got for a reply was to visit a forum, and the second reply was for screenshots of the errors. So I will need to wait until I have those students next in the lesson this Friday,

Thanks @LeoWarrenADSK

We still have the issue for two students due to the time zone with replies from the Education support team or AI chat replies. They time out before the lesson ends, so I am unable, as a teacher, to access their account without them being present.

The Hub step has added new problems, with students being unable to use Fusion in read-only mode. I never changed any setting, and when I reset them, they could not access Fusion even though they had online message access but were not changing in fusion.

Hi @MrP_Link,

Can you provide any further details on the students timing out? I can alternatively create cases on the impacted students accounts (please PM me their email addresses), so this can be solved via email rather than the Chat option. Regarding the Read-Only data, I believe it sounds like the problem in this article but I'd recommend setting up your Team such that you invite students into a Folder Level Project.
