Installer not opening

Hello,

Recently I had some problems with Revit and decided to do a reinstall. I cleared all files (everything related to Autodesk) and then tried to open web installer. It's loading for a few seconds and then it disappears. I feel like I did everything that I could (updated all of my drivers, anti-virus is turned off, did a deep clean). I also tried to download files without the web installer but then I'm getting the following message:

"Unable to run Autodesk Revit (R) 2025 installer

If you're still downloading Revit 2025_English_Win_64bit_dlm_002_002.7z in your browser, please wait until it finishes the download and try to run this file again."

Which shouldn't be the case since the file is fully downloaded.

When I was reinstalling revit a few times before I had never encountered such problems and now I can't install anything related to Autodesk.

Hi @magnolia_gorzelak,

Can you try extracting the .7z file? Alternatively, there should be a .exe file available that should allow you to install.

I hope this helps,

Sadly extracting .7z file doesn't work (file is fully downloaded, "browse file" gives the same notification despite it being in the right place)

Hi @magnolia_gorzelak,

How are you extracting the .7z file? Are you using 7 Zip to open the archive? If you extract it into a new folder you should end up with files that look like this:

I look forward to hearing from you,

I'm using WinRAR, but when extracting I end up with this:

I'm getting more similar results to yours when web installer makes its own folder:

Sadly nothing happens, for a one second it's trying to open something and then it disappears.

I added video in the attachment.

Hi @magnolia_gorzelak,

Can you follow this article? Launching the .exe file should create an installation package in C:\Autodesk\WI\. Alternatively, have you tried the web installer?
