via-fill.ulp not working

Recently downloaded via-fill.ulp from Eagle's ULP Downloads section.

Hoping to use it for adding nicely spaced stitching vias on my pcb.

However, does not seem to work.

steps

1. created 2 layer board with ground pours on each layer

2. added some components and connected / routed

3. selected the via-fill.ulp and ran (with 200 mil spacing for GND net)

4. ulp notifies my that a via positioning script has been generated for me to run

5. I run the script and NOTHING happens / no vias added

Here is the ulp download from EAGLE

http://eagle.autodesk.com/eagle/ulp?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q%5Btitle_or_author_or_description_cont%5D=via-fi...

What am I doing wrong?

Hello,

I just tested it out and it does work. The thing is you need to have all your polygons processed before running it to make it work. I can see from your images that your polygons are still in outline so this will be your issue.

Best Regards,

Rachael

Yup, you are correct, that worked!

I think I tried that last time but Eagle was taking a while to generate the script and I thought it froze or crashed because of the ULP (tried several times and always looked like it froze).

I had to wait about 2 min for the scripts to generate. Maybe the ULP doc should mention that the user needs to have polygons filled and that the script can take up to 2 min?

Not working there. Smiley Sad

I make ratsnest before run the ULP. And the ULP generated vias in wrong places.
Is there another way to make a grid of Vias to connect the ground planes/layers/poligons?
