Hello,
I have been looking at the eagle schematics of SparkFun's Transceiver Breakout board (nRF24L01+ RP-SMA) and have a few questions that someone with more PCB design experience may be able to answer. The Eagle files are available under the document tab on the product page. My question involves the board files and why the board does not connect all of the ground traces. Below is a screenshot of what I mean:
Interesting to me was when I deleted the ground wires from the schematic and redrew them the board updated to look like this (I hid some layers so the vias are no longer visible).
Here the board now has lines all over where traces were not drawn. Why is that the case? Why would you not want to connect the ground pads? Any insight would be appreciated!
