Hi all !
We buy a licence for new version (8.1.0) but i can't start Eagle under Linux : I have this error message on eagle frame:
Please connect to the Internet to re-authenticate your EAGLE license.
I'm connected to internet, and I don't use any proxy service.
When I refresh window, Eagle write on console the following messages :
qt.network.ssl: QSslSocket: cannot call unresolved function SSLv23_client_method qt.network.ssl: QSslSocket: cannot call unresolved function SSL_library_init
My linux configuration is :
Debian GNU/Linux 9 Linux 4.9.0-2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.13-1 (2017-02-27) x86_64 GNU/Linux
My network connection work finely.
What do i do to validate my eagle authentication ?
Thanks !
Eagle-8.1.1 - that software is not works on linux. Disgusting testing and approach to development. I think that this software will never work properly.
Working fine on debian squezee with
ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libssl.so.1.0.2 /<directory of install eagle-8.2.0>/lib/libssl.so
ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libssl.so.1.0.2 /<directory of install eagle-8.2.0>/lib
I prefer to duplicate the library as it sometimes hangs, but from what I've seen it's a QT5 problem
SORRY ????
So I see it is a defect in the programming, it is not to look for guilty, on the one hand the system of authentication of licenses used by you leaves much to be desired, but also there are some bug in the graphical library, QT that already have been remedied ( Check the night builds) at the end of the post there is a temporary solution until you recompile with the new lib
Ah if you need support in linux (debian and ...) please write me
Read my next post ...
Every distribution has its configuration, but in general all "are the same" (god I hope no one will beat me !!! :), in the process of compilation assign the main libraries and others to specific directories, with regard to stability, knowing 4 Tricks or four lines of configuration, is very stable ... nothing to do with windows systems ...
PD. Note that linux development eh 🙂
Maybe I can give you a solution but I need to know;
Kernel version (On the console type)
uname -a
To have more information (in console)
cat /etc/*-release
Memory (in console )
free -m
And more info (in console)
cat /proc/meminfo
And the information of the cpu in console
cat /proc/cpuinfo
Pass me the results for a paste
😛
Realm's underlying storage engine is using the system call mmap() to read and write data. When your app runs out of memory or disk space, mmap()
A silly question, are you running it from an usb drive ??? , You have memory, the kernel there are two revisions, you did not activate swap (although you do not need 16 ... I have 32 and swap .. sometimes we reuse libraries, without updating them at all ...) (If you put the iso or better the url), I would move the eagle folder from / mnt to / home / .. ./eagle, would activate swap ....
Verify that the libssl and libcrypto libraries are in the eagle / lib folder (the original gentoo / usr / lib64 / folder)
If it works well if I do not try on a machine I'm going to mount now ...
To you it works???? if you do not tell me machines and distro and I try ...
I see some bugs now that I'm running eagle from terminal...
good idea. can you post your window?
I'll try to make one from the offline computer.
I heard there are some major linux bugfixes in the works for 8.2.1
let's see...
