Unable to delete net segments

I am using EAGLE 9.5.0. I have the Delete icon selected and when I click on a segment of net, nothing happens. When I click on a part, the part is deleted but I cannot remove the net. How do I remove the net connections I don't want? Thanks.

Hello,

It sounds like you have the 'Wire' objects turned off on the selection filter. Open the selection filter and Ctrl+Click (Cmd on macOS) to toggle the entry if it is off or just hit the reset button at the bottom:
