Text Outputted as Vector

I placed proportional text on my board, and I realized when I had them fabricated that they were outputted as vector text. Is there a setting I can use to change that, I would like the text to come out proportional. Is there also a way to change fonts?

Hello @Mschindl,

Not to my knowledge. Apparently the creation of Gerber files, convert automatically the text in eagle in Vector font. No way to have Proportional font.

I used this follow link "SVG to image" to convert SVG image (image of texts with custom font) to polygon into eagle to put personal font.
It a bit time consuming, specially for cosmetic thing, but it works. I added on my PCB logo and texts in Font Arial for example with this method.

Hi Mschindl,

I hope you're doing well. Currently, the gerber output of EAGLE only supports vector font. So any proprotional text gets converted to vector on output. In general for the PCB it's best to use vector font.

We are very aware of the limitation this imposes and we are working to correct it.

Hi @rtscapovilla ,

I hope you're doing well. Fusion 360 now allows the gerber export to use any font, but this hasn't been backported into EAGLE.
