Rectangle Tool and Solder Mask?

If I place a rectangle with the rectangle tool on the Top layer, will that rectangle be covered with a solder mask or left bare? I intend to send this board to Seeed.

When you produce gerber files to send to Seeed, the top and soldermask layers come out as separate files. If you do not want soldermask over the rectangle, place another rectangle in the soldermask layer (tStop). If you want it covered with soldermask, do not add anything to the stop layer.
