Recover deleted managed library

Hi everyone,

I deleted yesterday a managed library from the web and also from my local directory. Is there any possibility to recover it and convert it into a local library?

Best regards

Hi @ravaMYRKD,

I hope you're doing well. Go into Library.io and sign in. Go to the Trash section, from here you can restore the managed library. Once it's restored then you can download it into EAGLE. Once it's back in EAGLE, open the library and go File > Save As 7.x compatible. Now you have a local unmanaged copy of the library.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hi Jorge,

thanks for your reply. the online library was an older version. I would like to know if there is any way to recover the deleted local managed library (.lbr file).

Best regards

Hi @ravaMYRKD,

I hope you're doing well. Check your trash folder? In general you want to keep the online and local versions in sync that way you can recover in the case of accidental deletion. The managed libraries don't keep backups internally like normal libraries do so it may not be possible to recover your local deleted managed library.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hello! I had the same issue here. I just complete the answer.

When a library is both deleted from Eagle and from library.io, it should appear in the library.io "Trash" tab.

Now when you hit the "Restore" button, it appears back in your managed folder in library.io, but not in Eagle.

To "download" it back to Eagle, you have to find the hidden menu "Open library manager" under Libraries

Then go to the "Available" tab, you should find your library, you can then click the "Use" button.

It may seem obvious for Autodesk developers but not for users unfortunately.
