I'm hoping that this will be fixed in the next release and they are pretty quick about getting releases out these days so I would expect it to be fixed soon. You'll have to wait for Jorge/Ed from Autodesk to confirm that for sure though.

Yes, don't forget that you can create grid setting aliases and assign shortcuts to any arbitrary command string so you can set up quick access to any number of grid settings this way.
