Pitch measurement issue

I create a footprint of two pins 2.54mm pitch header. I am trying to measure, it's pitch showing incorrect 2.5mm. Can you please tell me how to measure proper pitch dimension in footprint? For reference, I have attached Snapshot. 

For proper measurement, I need to change grid every time, please tell me other way of measuring pitch.

You have a metric grid set and your measurement lines are snapping to it. If the pads are actually placed on an imperial grid then you aren't getting an accurate reading.

If you go to the "info" tool and look at the properties of the pads then it will report their actual centre positions, and you can do a spot of maths.

There is a measure tool that is supposed to snap to objects instead of grid but I haven't used it much so I can't immediately remember the quirks.
