Hi,
Slightly off topic question, but here's hoping.
I wish to use a Phono socket similar to these: http://uk.farnell.com/pro-signal/psg01546/socket-phono-pcb-gold-white/dp/1280701
My problem, is that none of the "budget" PCB FABs officially support slots. Some accept boards with slots, Then, sometimes I get slots. Sometimes I don't. No help to anyone!
I can sorta get round the issue with large through holes. However, these days 3mm hole (plus land) is an awful waste of real-estate.
Can anyone point me to an SMD or leaded component?
Regards, Martin

Hi Martin,
I agree that some small scale PCB manufacturers will deny to make slotted drills.
As a solution, you can try some alternates from CUI Inc connectors, CP-1462-1-ND (Digikey Part Number) which is an SMD device but with 9mm outer diameter.
Thanks,
