missing libraries

I am working on a larger board design. I lost my library folder and only have the board and schematic files available. Is it possible to recover custom component libraries from there, so I can edit the footprint? I exported libraries, but I keep getting an error that a package variant does not exist.

Thanks for any clue,

Dan

''COPY command now includes new options to copy Devices, Symbols, Footprints, and Packages from a design file straight into a library. The Assets context menu in the design files now has entries for copying assets into a library. This makes it very easy to extract specific design assets into your library. Options change depending on what editor you are in.''

Thanks for the info. I tried top copy the part but the options copy footprint/device to library are grayed out. Is there a way to get around this? The package and footprint show, so the information to create the symbol should be available.

Thanks for any other clue,

Dan
