Library unavailable

I downloaded a zip file that has the schematic and board files. In the Library Manager under the "In Design" tab several of the libraries show a warning about the libraries being unavailable.  Is there a way to find out where each library is located at? What directory is it trying to connect to? Is there a easier way than replacing the schematic symbol and adjusting the board?

The schematic and board you've downloaded was built with (some) libraries you don't have. That's not a problem, though, because Eagle embeds the sections you need in the design.

You can use "export libraries" to create a project-specific library (or set of libraries) containing the bits you actually need. Then you can copy any parts you don't have into a library of your own for any editing or future re-use.

I am chasing a similar problem.  I have been using Eagle for about 10 years and have a bunch of local libraries full of the parts I use most commonly.  I attached them to the project yesterday and was able to bring in parts from them into the design. Today, when opening the same project all of my libraries are listed as unavailable.  These are on the local hard drive and have not been moved.  How do i rectify this?

Thanks,

I have the exact same problem, they are "unavailable" and I cannot add devices from them in design, but I can open them and edit them from control panel. It was ok yesterday and no file were moved.

How did you solve the problem ?

If the library in question appears in your navigator pane in the control panel, make sure it has a green blob next to it (if it's grey, click it). That makes it "in use" and clears the "unavailable" warning triangle.

I'm not really sure why a library that is in the navigator would not be "available" in the library manager, unless it's a question of nested directories. The navigator lets you peruse sub-directories of your path, I'm not sure the library manager does.

Thank you, you are right. I don't know how but somehow the libraries got "unchecked" and were not used anymore.
I suspected that and clicked on Use All in the "Libraries" folder, but it only checked the libraries directly in the folder and I stupidly didn't double check inside the subfolder...

Thank you again and sorry for the wasted time.
