Is there an ABC tutorial for newer to EAGLE?

Hello, everyone.

I'm new to EAGLE. Is there a step by step tutorial for newer to show how to make an easy EAGLE project with SCH and PCB?

See one of the lengthy replies ( from Autodesk) to one of my post.

There is a loose quote

" there are tons of videos and tutorials available (on the net ) "

Maybe the forum users can build such tutorial here....

Here is the  start

Load Eagle -> in Control panel goto Projects -> Examples _>tutorial

Open demo1.brd

Save as MyProject than Save all

Than you are on your own...

I usually delete ( use GROUP icon first ) all of the schematic and ADD something simple ( IC 7400 my favorite ) and wire it up and do Autoroute...

Keep in mind Eagle is command driven with very basic GUI.

And save your design VERSIONS OFTEN.

When in  doubt - ask here but wear flame retardant underpants...

Good luck and I really mean it.

Thanks for you post!  In fact there are LOTS of tutorials and such, so I'll try and hone in on some that should help you come up to speed quickly!

Firstly, in the way of "print" content, you'll find a tutorial in the installation directory which walks you thru much of the basics of using EAGLE.  To find it, open the control panel in EAGLE (Window->Control Panel if you're in schematic or PCB) and there you'll find the tutorials listed along the left, in the Documentation section of the folder browser...along with a manual which is kept up to date between releases:

WRT to video content, our support teams do webinars regularly and produce regular videos, then post the recorded content on Youtube making it accessible to the largest audience (rather than placing this content behind a login or on a private website).  The *official* Autodesk EAGLE youtube account includes videos covering everything from getting started thru to advanced concepts like simulation, high speed design, and more. You can find that page here:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjPWeOcXkMIOA_bd4LbivGg

You can also find a step by step getting started video located on the Autodesk website here:

http://eagle.autodesk.com/eagle/product-tour

...This video will guide you thru much of the EAGLE SW and should help you come up to speed quickly!

You can find content generated both by Autodesk and the community located on the Autodesk website here:

http://eagle.autodesk.com/eagle/documentation

And you can find some great community tutorials on the Sparkfun, Seeedstudio, Adafruit and Element 14 websites & here's an example on Sparkfun:

Installation and Getting Started --

https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/how-to-install-and-setup-eagle

Using Schematic --

https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/using-eagle-schematic

Using PCB --

There are also regular webinars running for EAGLE and I would encourage you to check them out!  Join the email list for EAGLE and you'll hear about webinars, etc.  You can find the blog and sign up for comms from Autodesk at our website:

Finally, let me encourage you to ask questions here!  We do our best to reply to everything and anything and the entire development team, support team and upper management team is here and accounted for.  We all participate and want you to be successful using the product.  It can take a little time to come up to speed but we'll help you with the learning curve, for sure!  And our community is second to none!  So dont be surprised if you get responses from anyone and everyone.

Hope that helps!

Best regards,
