Import Cadence Allegro Project file to Eagle

Hi everyone,

I have a project file of Cadence Allegro. Will it possible to import that project to Eagle 7.6.0 by any chance?

Please let me know if anyone has any idea.

Hello Agnibha,

I hope you're doing well. At this point in time there is no mechanism for bringing in a native Allegro file. The easiest thing is to either redraw it or consult with a third party service that will do the conversion for a fee.

Hi @Gunther_Grelczak,

I wish, this is more of a legal problem than a technical one. Until the lawyers can sort something out we won't be allowed to implement import tools for outside software. We are pushing for it because we know are users are asking for it but so far nothing. I'll add your voice to the existing request for this.
