How to hide or remove default 3d object in managed library

Hi I made my library a manged one. This added default 3d objects. I cannot delete the 3d object for one part as it says it is in use. I have tried editing the default object.

When i edit it I have tried the following things to no avail.

  1. Remove 3D model. The model is removed but the showing the 3D design in Fusion this default model still shows up.
  2. Move the default shape below the surface of the PCB effectively hiding it. This also does not work as the default model again shows in Fusion
  3. Made the 3d object as small as possible .01mm and i still the default model rendered in Fusion.

    What is going on here?
What can i do to remove/hide/shrink this model?

Hi @rg.jones,

I hope you're doing well. If this component is coming from a default managed library then you need to copy it to your personal library and then modify it there so that the 3D model can be updated. When you update the 3D model, set the dimensions of the rectangle model to be 0 x 0 x 0.

Thank you for adding your voice this feature request. I'll report that we need a better way to deal with this situation.

Hello @jorge_garcia, thank you for the reply. I am using a personal managed library. I did as you suggested and set the size to 0mm in all dimensions. I created a new library revision and I updated my design and then pushed to F360. The default model still appears. Further help diagnosing this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
