How to activate 6 layers in education version?

On this page https://www.element14.com/community/thread/55704/l/autodesk-acquires-eagle-official-qa-discussion-ne... it was stated that the educational version of Eagle would support up to 6 layers.

However when I try to activate these layers I get the following error:

"The layer setup contains layers 2,3,4,5 which are not available in the free version"

Thanks,

Eric

Hello Eric,

I hope you're doing well. The key here is that you have to use 6 specific layers. The six layers allowed are 1,2,3,14,15, and 16. When you define additional layers in EAGLE you want to work from the outside surfaces towards the center.

Please accept as solution if my post fully resolves or you issue, or reply with additional details if the problem persists

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

I have the same question, but this response doesn't say anything about how to activate additional routable layers in the educational version.

Hello @hellencowen,

I hope you're doing well. Go to the DRC > Layers tab you can add the additional layers there?

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
