feature request : modifiable eagle library

hello, 

eagle libraries are readable only. i suggest to give them writable, to give eagle more flexible and less messy in file/organisation.

Bad idea.

The libraries that ship with Eagle are likely to be overwritten on an upgrade. You should *never* use them to store local changes. Eagle allows - indeed encourages - you to define a separate set of your own, local, libraries in your own folder, which will be immune to any updates.

If you want to start from a stock library, you can make a copy.

sorry, it was late and i was tied, so i wrote something like incomplete and out of context.

i would mean an altium like "manufacturer part search" but with collaborative part design validation and update.

something like a library cloud stored, and collaboratively managed by the eagle community.

maybe i sould post another one with a right title ...?
