Hi,

Having the same issue in release 9.5.2 while Eagle also gives an error ' can't renumber supply symbols'.

This has been working fine in the past.

@Anonymous team: any suggestions what is going wrong?

I have the same problem.

Had to open 9.5.0 to renumber parts, save and open 9.5.2 again.

Any response from Autodesk?

There is another thread about this topic, in which a work-around was given. Tell the renumber process to ignore parts prefixed "SUPPLY"

Hi,

Unfortunately it did not help. To be honest, I have never gotten the Ignore Prefix to work (since Eagle 7).

But if I removed the option for renumber parts without a package, it did work!

Thanks!

Marius

I have never liked this tool, but aabmar is right, if you remove the option to Renumber parts without a package it works very well.  Now I will be using this tool more often.

Thank you aabmar!

I have a working installation of Rev 7.7.0, so opened the schematic in that version, ignored the warning text and renumbered the parts without any problem. Saved under a new name "just in case", but the new file opened fine again under Rev 9.6.2.

I'm having the same problem, but it renamed a *lot* of parts...  and now I can't get it to automatically fix anything.  same crazy strings with datecode etc.   $1_37_$_2023-04-21_00-35-09

I'm going to have to go through by hand and fix all these part numbers before I can do anything with this multi page schematic?!?

Hi @breedene ,

I hope you're doing well. The best option is here is try to undo the renumber completely. You might have to fall back to a backup.

The key thing with the renumber ulp is to let it run to it's conclusion, if it gives any errors you just OK them and let it get to the end. Otherwise you'll end up with a bunch of intermediate names which is what you are seeing here.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
