Error message at "add part" : "Part has unconnected pin (G$1/RST)"

I have generated a new library. It consists from to to bottom in the included figure of device, footprint and symbol.

If I try to insert this as a part in the shematics, I get an error message: "Part has unconnected pin (G$1/RST)"

But in my opinion, RST represents a pin in the symbol as well as a pad in the footprint.

Any ideas where I should look, what is the cause, are wellcome.

Best regards

Hans

Are you expecting the pin called "RST" to magically be the pad named "RST" just because you named them the same? If so, you need to re-read the manual and think about how standard packages work (hint: the pads only have numbers!)

Read up on use of the "CONNECT" button in the device editor.

@one-of-the-robs

Yes, You are completely right. I forgot this step .... learning so many things in short time was too much for my little brain's capacity, so I missed this step.

Thank You, Your short hint to use connect in the device editor was the easy solution.

Thank You.

Yes, as wires from different parts in the shematics are automaticely recognized and connected due to their names, I expected similar behaviour between symbol and footprint.
