Hi rozansky,
Thanks for posting your questions on the Autodesk EAGLE. Version 4.1 is around 15+ years old, at the time we didn't have the manuals available in digital media.
I think the Driver RS-274x was already available. If it was, then you should be able to load the board file and launch the CAM processor by pressing the icon on the parameter toolbar that looks like an actual camera. Once in the CAM Processor, load the CAM job called Gerber274x.cam and press Process job. Then load the job called excellon.com and press process job again. The files will be located in the same directory as you board unless you otherwise specify a different path in the CAM Processor.
If you don't have the driver called Gerber 274x, then you will have to use a driver called Gerber. If this is the case, you need to 1) generate an aperture wheel file by using the driver called GerberAuto and having all the layers selected. 2)Switch the driver to Gerber, and select the .whl file created in step one, then generate the necessary Gerber files for the appropriate layer combinations.
Back then, I think I made a CAM job that did all this automatically, load the CAM job called Gerber.cam, the first section of the CAM processor will build you Aperture Wheel.
I hope this helps.
