Eagle gerber file problem

Good afternoon,

I have been having an issue with using Eagle created gerber files in the LPKF board printing machine. The problem is when I create the drill file, some times the drill locations are all over the place in an undesired pattern (See figure 1 in attached powerpoint). I contacted LPKF's support and they showed me how to correct the problem using their settings in their interface. After some time and trial and error, I realized that the issue was actually in the 8 pin dip socket that is a part of ic-package.lbr. I decided to remove the socket from the schematic and the board, and the result is shown in figure 2. Is there something that can be changed in the Eagle library that can fix this issue? It does not seem to affect the gerber files seen in Viewmate for example, only in CircuitPro (the software used for the LPKF machine).

Thanks,

Taylor Farr

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for participating on the Autodesk forums. What did you have to do to get the file to work on the LPKF CircuitPro software? That might provide inside into what(if anything) can be done inside EAGLE to avoid the issue you are seeing.

From the pictures in your powerpoint it really seems to be something to do with their gerber viewer but I would like to explore this further and make sure that everything that we can do on our end we do it.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
