Eagle 8 on Mac OS with 4k screen

Hi,

I'm using Eagle 8 on a MacBook Pro with 4k screen connected. Eagle do not scale correctly to this screen, and each pixel rendered, is 4 pixels on the screen. This makes it necessary to zoom in and out all the time to get enough details, even if the screen would be able to show enough details without zooming. It kind of makes a 4k screen a total waste.

Is it possible to change this in some kind of setting?

Marius

Hello Marius,

Thank you for your participation on our forums. I have prepared an enhancement request for this issue and have passed it along to our developers.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hi Jorge,

I suspect this is related to the HiDPI awareness issue I raised back in the v7 days. This was partially solved at the time hence all the menu text etc are all crisp and clean looking now but if I recall correctly the devs were unable to easily sort it properly for the main drawing canvas due to some issue with Qt. Hopefully with the additional development resources on hand now they'll be able to get it properly fixed as it would be nice to be able to benefit from the full res of the monitors on my Macs.

Best Regards,

Rachael
