Eagle 8.6.3 No board outline in CAM processor

Hi!
With the new cam processor, when i deselect "Detect board shape" under "User interface", i no longer get a board outline when i export my gerbers, and looking under "profile" in the cam processor I just see a blank window where the board outline is supposed to be...

I am currently panelizing a bunch of PCB's, and the complex outline makes Eagle crash when "Detect board shape" is turned on.

Hi @Anonymous,

I hope you're doing well. In this scenario where you can't use the Detect board shape functionality, all you have to do is place layer 20 in the profile section of the CAM processor. Board Outlines are defined in layer 20, the board shape functionality assumes 1 board. For a panel that won't work, so just include layer 20 and you should see the outline you are expecting.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Well, I tried this solution and it indead appeared in the profile section of the CAM processor. However this was not the solution because if I looked at the Manufacturing window the PCB had no limit.

The actual problem was that the line representing the board outline on layer 20 was not closed. Therefore the CAM processor did not take it to create the 'board shape' that is mentionned in the CAM processor and which can be added to each layer.

Once I corrected the outiline the 'board shape' appeared in the CAM processor 'profile' section and the addition of the layer 20 in that section was not required anylonger.
