In the CAM window I want to attach a drawing file explaining a routed slot.
How do I attach it and what format should it be for a Fab to use it?
Does it get compiled with the Gerber file output?

I hope you're doing well. That setup is to generate geber data you can't attach anything to it. You can produce a fab drawing gerber by creating a new section under the gerbers and then specifying what layers form that drawing.
