Feature request: lock polygons

I have a few projects where my boards are routed almost exclusively with polygons; this is often the case for LED boards and power supply boards. Managing all of these polygons becomes very time consuming. Would it be possible to implement a feature to lock a polygon, similar to how a component position can be locked?

Yes I'll second this too, along with the ability to lock anything else like routes too too!

Umm, this proposal looks just like the object-oriented system I described before? As I proposed extending some properties definitions onto objects in general, this is one of them, isn't it?

In my case, the top and bottom layyers concerned me the least 🙂
the internal layers are the most important, and I soon discovered that I was unable to use rectangular or polygonal restriction zones on those, which was a bummer.

Another thought just occurred to me - managing complex designs with many overlapping polygons and rank settings is also a little cumbersome. It would be very helpful if Eagle showed the polygon name and rank in the filled polygon (similar to how traces are now labeled in Eagle 8). If anyone has ever done a design using all six available polygon rank levels, you would understand my pain.

Wait? what? Juggling rank numbers of polygons to try and stop them conflicting and overlapping isn't fun for you?! Smiley LOL

I feel your pain, I think that could be a useful addition.

Hey everybody,
How does a polygon manager dialog sound? I've been think about how useful something like this would be.

The idea would be you could open a window that lists all polygons, and would include information like net, width, layer, rank.

Then the suggestions such as lock could also be intergrated. Also the ability to control which polygons get processed on ratsnest.

Most of this could be achieved through ULP, but lock would have to be an ability added by Autodesk.
